A CHRISTIAN PRESIDENT
Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro made a surprise visit at The Send event earlier this month. More than 140,000 people attended the 12-hour event at three stadiums with 1.7 million watching on the Portuguese livestream and more than 560,000 on the English one. According to Christian Headlines, President Bolsonaro was met with thunderous applause when he declared that he is a believer in Jesus and that Brazil belongs to God.

SUMMER OLYMPICS OUTREACH
Baptist Press reports that in the months leading up to the 2020 Summer Olympics, Japanese churches are hosting community festivals that feature family games, activities, food and Gospel presentations. During the Olympics, mission teams will focus on evangelism through pop-up coffee shops and Olympic pin trading.

EMERGENCY AID IN CHINA
A Christian humanitarian organisation has announced a new campaign to provide aid to Chinese families in cities that have been deemed high risk for the deadly coronavirus as the death toll continues to rise. World Help, an organisation serving the physical and spiritual needs of people in impoverished communities around the world, announced that it's partnering with pastors on the ground to distribute emergency relief in the provinces surrounding Wuhan.
The aid will include protective face masks and food for those living in areas where the coronavirus is spreading.
