SIEGE OF JERUSALEM
As reported in Eternity News, new evidence has been discovered on Mount Zion that supports the biblical account of the Babylonian siege of Jerusalem. Researchers at the University of North Carolina Mount Zion Archaeological Project announced last month they had discovered a deposit that includes layers of ash mixed with arrowheads dating from the period as well as Iron Age lamps and a significant piece of period jewellery. They say it is clear evidence of the Babylonian conquest of Jerusalem from 587-586 BC. The siege of Jerusalem was carried out by Nebuchadnezzar II, king of Babylon. The events are recorded in the Bible, in 2 Kings 25.

HONG KONG PROTESTS
According to Christianheadlines.com the worship song 'Sing Hallelujah To The Lord' and Christian involvement emerged early in the Hong Kong protest movement  On August 23rd,  the motto of the rally in Chater Garden was “Salt and light, for justice we walk together” and was designed to “provide all Christians a platform to express themselves outside the church, hoping people would safeguard Hong Kong by singing, praying, worshipping God and at the same time speaking up for justice and standing together with all the Hongkongers in difficult times.”

The latest version of the song 'God Only Knows' by the Christian group For King and Country features a special vocal contribution from country music superstar Dolly Parton who also appears in the song's music video.
