CHRISTIANITY IN INDIA
According to Premier Christian News, the number of converts to Christianity continues to rise across India, despite growing acts of violence towards them. Pastor Kumar Swamy of the All India Christian Council says almost every day Christians are attacked by Hindu extremists. He told Premier News that on one hand, there are attacks, threats and bloodshed but on the other hand, God is growing His church.
SPORTING CLUB MANAGER
Eternity News reports that Liverpool Football Club manager Jurgen Klopp is a Christian. Klopp steered German club Borussia Dortmund twice to the top of the Bundesliga and his Liverpool side reached second place during the English Premier Leagues’ 2018-2019 season. But Klopp, one of the world’s most respected managers, believes that what Jesus achieved through his death and resurrection cannot be beaten. “It’s the greatest act that was ever accomplished,” he said. “And there’s no way we could ever do it. And we don’t need to because someone else did it for us. That’s a huge, huge comfort.”
